The Acting National Statistician has granted exceptional pre-release access to the publication ‘Long-term international migration, provisional: year ending December 2024’ for two representatives of PA Media (formerly Press Association).
The publication was made available at 8:45am on 22 May 2025, ahead of publication on the ONS website at 9:30am on 22 May 2025.
In the opinion of the Acting National Statistician the access is necessary to facilitate well-informed debate and support better public understanding of the statistics, in line with the rules and principles on pre-release access set out in the relevant UK legislation.
We will undertake this engagement for as long as is necessary while migration methods continue to develop.
